Some Knott's Berry Farm Chaperones To Receive Free Park Entry
Knott's Berry Farm will offer free entry to the annual Knott's Scary Farm event for chaperones who accompany five minors starting Thursday.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA β Knott's Berry Farm adjusted its chaperone policy Wednesday for the park's popular Knott's Scary Farm Halloween event, allowing adults 21 years of age and over to chaperone up to five non-adult guests instead of four and providing free entry for chaperones who accompany five minors.
The new rules go into effect Thursday, and provides one complimentary chaperone admission for that night's Halloween event only for those accompanying five minors who each have a valid paid admission.
The chaperone policy was put in place in July after a brawl erupted between teenagers, which prompted park officials to shut down the park three hours early one night.

Originally, the park required all guests 17 and younger to be accompanied by a 21-or-older chaperone on Fridays and Saturdays, but later extended the policy to Sundays. The park said that other days of the week would continue to be added if necessary.
The chaperone policy is in effect for all nights of the Halloween event, and will also be implemented during the upcoming holiday period. The new limit of five guests goes into effect Thursday, the park said.

According to a park statement, the chaperone must present a valid ID with date of birth. Chaperones must accompany their party during entry, and remain inside of the park during their visit.
Guests 17 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone will be subject to ejection.
