LePort Montessori Students Donate Pet Supply Items to Local Animals

Students at LePort Montessori School Irvine Spectrum North and South recently donated more than 40 pet supply items to Orange County Animal Allies, a nonprofit organization whose programs are aimed at saving the lives of animals by providing community education, emergency resources, and referral services to Orange County residents. Students were also treated to a visit from the organization, which brought along some furry friends for a heartwarming meet-and-greet at the school.

LePort Montessori School instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
