LePort Montessori Students in Irvine Donate Care Items to Mothers
Students held a donation drive to benefit homeless mothers and children

Students at Leport Montessori School Irvine Westpark in Irvine recently held a donation drive to benefit Colette's Children's Home, an organization that provides homeless mothers and children with a safe home and nurturing environment where they receive the resources they need to achieve self sufficiency. Students worked together to collect a variety of items including body wash, diapers, formula, hygiene products, and soap.
LePort Montessori School instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
