Local Students Perform Nearly 1,200 Acts of Kindness

Heritage Oak Private Education students performed acts of kindness through schoolwide campaign

Students from Heritage Oak Private Education recently performed nearly 1,200 acts of kindness through a schoolwide kindness campaign. For two weeks, students hosted the Raise Craze campaign, during which they performed acts of kindness at school, in their homes and throughout the community. The campaign began with a coastal cleanup day for students and faculty and continued with other activities, including helping neighbors, cleaning up trash in the community and surprising families with home cooked meals. Students and their families also hosted a family service night, during which families stuffed toiletry bags for underprivileged youth, decorated placemats to benefit Meals on Wheels, and wrote letters to community service members, such as police officers and firefighters.

At the close of the campaign, students had completed 1,196 acts of kindness, earning them the opportunity to dunk school leadership members in a dunk tank at a school-wide celebration.
