Celebrate Lunar New Year 2022 At Disney California Adventure: Year Of The Tiger Or Tigger?
Disneyland Resort's California Adventure park marks Lunar New Year's arrival in Orange County, celebrating Tigger, Mulan & introducing Raya.

ANAHEIM, CA ā If you want to ring in the Year of the Tiger at Disneyland Resort, make your reservations now. The cast members of Disney California Adventure are leaving nothing out from the featured celebration that runs from Jan. 21 through Feb. 13.
During the festival, Disneyland Resort focuses on three beloved characters during the festival of the Lunar New Year: 2022: Tigger, Mulan and Raya of the new feature animated film "Raya and the Last Dragon."
"Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure park is a joyous celebration that commemorates traditions of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures," Public Relations Director Kelsey Lynch writes on Disney Parks Blog.

The 2022 Lunar New Year festival is filled with multicultural performances, special activities, culinary delights, beautiful decor and celebratory merchandise, of course.
New this year, Tigger will play a major role in the festivities, leaving his place in Critter Country in a new starring role for the year of his namesake.

Also featured are Mulan and Mushu, Mickey and Minnie, the Three Little Pigs and Raya from Walt Disney Animation Studiosā film, āRaya and the Last Dragon.ā This is the first appearance at the park for Raya, according to Lynch. You can find Raya in a setting inspired by her native Kumandra, which will be recreated in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
"This bright and bold performance hosted by Mulan and her faithful dragon, Mushu, will feature dozens of spirited parade performers as they honor family, friendship, and the potential for a fortune-filled new year," Lynch writes.
When you go:
- Look for Mulan's Lunar New Year procession.
- Visit the Lucky Wishing Wall
- Let the kids craft at activities set up through the major walkway by Paradise Pier.
- Get a Sip and Savor Pass and taste four Lunar New Year marketplaces featuring Asian cuisine. Also, check out Lunar New Year-inspired food and beverage offerings throughout the park.
- During the festival, find live musical entertainment will also be enjoyed at the Paradise Garden Bandstand.
