The man was suspected of leading officers on a slow-speed pursuit in a stolen vehicle that started in Garden Grove.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A man in his 30s suspected of leading officers on a slow-speed pursuit in a stolen vehicle that began in Garden Grove and ended in Anaheim Monday evening was taken into custody.
Garden Grove Police Department officers responded at 8:12 p.m. to a stolen vehicle call at Nelson Street and Lampson Avenue. They found the suspect in the stolen vehicle at Chapman Avenue and Harbor Boulevard, where they attempted to stop the man, who refused their commands, said Sgt Chuck Starns of the Garden Grove Police Department.
Officers followed the vehicle through multiple cities before deploying a spike strip, which disabled the vehicle at Gilbert Street and Broadway Avenue in Anaheim, where they took the man into custody, Starns said.
