Man Charged With Vandalizing OC Church

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A man was scheduled to make his first court appearance in court Wednesday on charges he vandalized Scientology property in Orange County in Dec. 2021.

Christopher Sotelo, 28, was charged Aug. 17, 2022, with vandalism of religious property and a hate crime, both felonies, according to court records.

Sotelo failed to appear in court on the charges and a warrant was issued for his arrest, which was served by police in the City of Orange on Tuesday.

Further details of the reported vandalism were not available from police.
