Man Found Dead In Burning House, Arson Suspected In South OC

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — A man was found dead in a burning house in San Clemente Monday afternoon, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

Deputies were sent to the area of Albergar and Optiman in Rancho San Clemente on Monday, May 8 at around 2 p.m. to assist Orange County firefighters with a house fire.

Upon arriving, authorities found a man's body inside of the home. His identity was not immediately known.

Arson and homicide investigators were called to the scene, authorities said.
