Man Killed By Orange County Train Identified

Eduardo Ramirez of Santa Ana died Wednesday.

SANTA ANA, CA -- A 48-year-old pedestrian who was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Santa Ana was publicly identified Sunday by the Orange County coroner's office. Eduardo Ramirez of Santa Ana died at the scene of his injury, which occurred about 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, near the 1100 block of East Fairhaven Avenue, said Capt. Steve Concialdi of the Orange County Fire Authority.

No one was hurt on the train.

A section of the track was closed while an investigation was conducted, and some delays were being reported by Amtrak and Metrolink trains.
