Man Out On Bail For Sex Attacks With Minor Arrested Again For Child Annoyance: Police

FULLERTON, CA — A man out on bail for lewd acts on a minor was arrested again for child annoyance in Fullerton, police said this week.

The incident happened on Aug. 18, when a 17-year-old girl told police she was walking on the 1800 block of Benchley Street in Fullerton at around 1:10 p.m. when a silver Toyota Camry pulled up beside her and parked.

According to police, the driver asked the girl if she wanted to "make some money" while reaching his hands down below his waist.

The girl told police that she believed he was asking her to do something sexual, which prompted her to walk away from the suspect and report the incident to her school.

Fullerton resident Salim Tarrab, 28, was identified as a suspect by Fullerton investigators.

According to police, Tarrab had previously been arrested by the department for lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and child annoyance.

Tarrab was out on bail pending future court appearances for the previous case, police said.

He is currently being held at the Fullerton City Jail in lieu of $1 million dollars bail.
