Man Sentenced For Using Facebook To Lure OC Teen
A 31-year-old man who solicited a 13-year-old girl for sex via her Facebook account was sentenced to less than a year in jail Monday.

SANTA ANA, CA — A 31-year-old man was placed on three years of formal probation and sentenced to 336 days behind bars -- which he has already served - - for luring a 13-year-old girl to have sex with him in Santa Ana, court records show.
German Alfonso Martinez, who was sentenced Friday, pleaded guilty to a felony count of luring a child with the intent to commit a sex crime. One count each of distributing pornography to a minor with the intent to engage in sexual conduct and attempted lewd act on a child younger than 14 were dropped as part of his plea agreement.
The Los Angeles resident was arrested April 22 at El Salvador Park by investigators who had orchestrated a sting operation, according to Santa Ana police.

Shortly after the girl started a Facebook page, she was contacted by Martinez, according to police, who said his messages to the teen were "highly inappropriate, soliciting sex from the victim."
Police were notified, and investigators continued a dialogue with the suspect, pretending to be the girl.

Martinez drove to the park on a Saturday "with the intent of taking the victim to a local motel" to have sex with her there, police said.
