Man Shot, Killed While Sitting In Car In OC; Gunman At Large

ANAHEIM, CA — A man was fatally shot while sitting in a car while sitting in an south Anaheim neighborhood Sunday, Dec. 8, and police were still searching for the gunman as of Tuesday.

Anaheim police officers were called to the 2000 block of South Margie Lane just before 8:45 p.m. and found a 25-year-old victim.

The victim was identified as Kenneth Wayne Swets, 25, of Anaheim. He had multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Anaheim Police Sgt. Matt Sutter told The Orange County Register that the neighborhood were Swets was shot is not considered by police to be a gang neighborhood and is usually quiet.

Police were still canvassing for possible surveillance video or information as of Tuesday.
