Motorcyclist Involved In Huntington Beach Crash ID'd As Cerritos Man

A 28-year-old motorcyclist died when he was involved in a crash with a car in Huntington Beach.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A motorcycle rider who died when he crashed with a car in Huntington Beach was a 28-year-old Cerritos man, police said Monday.

The crash happened at 3:56 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and 24th Street in Sunset Beach, the Huntington Beach Police Department reported.

Officers dispatched to the location found the man down, unconscious in the roadway. Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The rider collided with a white Toyota Camry driven by a 19-year-old Long Beach woman who remained at the scene, police said.

The Toyota driver had exited a parking lot to southbound PCH and collided with the northbound BMW motorcycle, according to investigators' preliminary findings.

Police said impairment does not appear to be a factor as regards the Toyota driver, but it was unknown if impairment was a factor with the motorcyclist.
