Murder Suicide Ends 20-Year Marriage

SANTA ANA, CA — Authorities believe a couple stabbed to death near Santa Ana Monday died in a murder-suicide.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, 55-year-old Maurice Molina stabbed his 48-year-old wife, Julie Molina, and then turned the knife on himself. The pair had been married for more than two decades, said sheriff's department spokeswoman, Carrie Braun.

Police were called to the home in the 13400 block of Winthrope Street near Santa Ana at about 3 p.m. Monday, when Maurice Molina's mother found one of the bodies.
