Missing Man, 84, Found Dead In Orange County Tuesday
The Irvine man was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and was reported missing back in October.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — An 84-year-old man with Alzheimer's disease was found dead in Irvine more than six weeks after being reported missing, Irvine police said Wednesday.
Irvine police officers received a report of a dead body in the brush behind 14972 Sand Canyon Avenue on Tuesday.

Authorities identified the body as Changyu Zhou based on the body's clothing description and "other evidence present at the scene."

Zhou was last seen at about 10 a.m. Oct. 29 in the area of Jeffrey Road and Walnut Avenue, authorities posted back in October. Authorities said he spoke only Mandarin and was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
The Coroner Division of the Orange County Sheriff's Department will be working to confirm the decedent's identity, police said.
