Motorcycle Slams Amazon Truck; Kills 1 In OC: Police

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A crash involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and an Amazon delivery truck killed one person in Huntington Beach this weekend.

The crash happened at around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 11 near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Slater Avenue, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Upon arrival, officers found the driver of the motorcycle — a 22-year-old man from Costa Mesa — unconscious in the roadway.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not revealed.

Based on a preliminary investigation, both vehicles were traveling northbound on Beach Boulevard south of Slater Avenue when the Harley-Davidson lost control and hit the rear of the Amazon truck.

The driver of the Amazon truck — a 27-year-old man from Santa Ana — was uninjured and cooperated with authorities, police said.
