Motorcyclist Dead In 22 Freeway Crash Friday: CHP

Traffic on the 22 Freeway traveling east was slowed considerably after a motorcyclist crashed into a freeway divider Friday afternoon.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a concrete divider on the California state Route 22 freeway traveling east, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash was reported at 12:18 p.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway, near the State route 57's transition road in the City of Santa Ana, authorities said.

The crash resulted in slow-moving traffic and the temporary shutdown of the transition road between the 22 Freeway and the 57 Freeway. The identity of the motorcyclist was not released pending next of kin notification.
