Motorist Killed In Solo Crash In Huntington Beach Thursday
The Riverside County man was declared dead at the scene, Huntington Beach officials said.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Huntington Beach Thursday, the Huntington Beach Police Department reported.
The motorist, who was only identified as a 38-year-old Riverside man, died after his blue Honda CBR motorcycle crashed.
Officers were dispatched to the area near Warner Avenue and Brightwater Drive at around 3:45 p.m. after receiving reports about a crash, public information officer Jessica Cuchilla said.

Responding officers found the man in the street and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An initial investigation showed that the motorist was speeding eastbound on Warner Avenue at a high rate of speed before losing control of his motorcycle, authorities said.

The Huntington Beach Police Department Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team was investigating the crash Thursday evening.
It is not currently known if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
Residents with information regarding the crash were asked to call HBPD Traffic Investigator J. Rounds at 714-536-5666.
