Mountain Lion Captured In Irvine After Entering Building

A mountain lion was captured inside of an office building after giving residents a shock and running down an Irvine street.

IRVINE, CA — Irvine residents out on the town were in for quite a shock Tuesday afternoon, after a mountain lion was seen darting down a busy street and into an open building, the Orange County Register reported.

The mountain lion reportedly ran past an Irvine hair salon and tried entering, but ended up running into the glass, report stated. Law enforcement and animal control authorities worked to contain the animal, who ultimately ran into an open office building and was captured successfully.

Fortunately for the big cat and everyone around it, no one was injured in the incident. The mountain lion will be released into another habitat with a water source and plenty of deer after being chipped and collared.
