Murder Charges Filed In Death Of Anaheim Woman

ANAHEIM, CA — Murder charges were filed against a 64-year-old man accused of killing a woman inside an Anaheim home where they both rented rooms last week.

Michael Carl Hallgren of Anaheim, who faces a sentence-enhancement allegation of using a deadly weapon, is due to be arraigned sometime Monday.

On Tuesday, Nov. 20, at around 9:30 a.m. Anaheim police responded to a call of a man attacking a woman inside a residence at 1200 block of N. Siesta St.

A 70-year-old woman, Lucina Louise Palma of Anaheim, was found dead at the scene. Hallgren is accused of stabbing Palma inside the home, according to Anaheim police Sgt. Jeff Mundy.
