New Goodwill Celebrates OC Opening: What To Know

Goodwill of Orange County is opening the doors to its newest thrift store in Orange County to a crowd of more than 250 people Friday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA — A new Goodwill store just celebrated its grand opening in Orange County, marking the 25th Goodwill location to open its doors in the county.

Goodwill of Orange County celebrated its brand new Fountain Valley store with a crowd of more than 250 people on Friday, April 26. The 15,000 square-foot location brings the nonprofit closer to its goal to double its impact and footprint across Orange County, according to a news statement.

“We are honored to open our newest store in the city of Fountain Valley and to provide shoppers and donors with a unique and purpose-driven secondhand shopping experience,” Goodwill OC President and CEO Nicole Suydam said. “With every store opening, more career opportunities are created and more lives impacted. As we celebrate our centennial anniversary this year, new stores like this one, give us the fuel to expand our workforce development mission even further over the next 100 years.”

The expansive store, located at 17120 Magnolia Street, showcases an updated interior look for Goodwill OC, including a boutique pop-up, modern fixtures and merchandising, a runway, custom wallpaper, hanging elements and more.

The store will also offer a convenient and efficient donation drop off at the back of the store.
