New OC World Program Launched During April Financial Literacy Month

Smart Money, Bright Future Program is Supported by Wells Fargo Bank

OC World Productions, in association with the nonprofit multimedia organization OC World, announces its newest program Smart Money, Bright Future geared toward underserved communities of Southern California. The first program launches today Financial Literacy for Kids/The Benefits of Giving at 5:30 p.m. on KLCS-PBS and new episodes will air each Wednesday for the following three months. Supported by Wells Fargo Bank, Smart Money, Bright Future features financial experts providing practical financial information and tips on money management.

The idea for Smart Money, Bright Future was conceived by OC World Production founder/executive producer Scott Hays who wanted to create programming with a focus on giving back. Ultimately, the hope is that the program will assist families and individuals make smart decisions with a focus on long-term financial stability. While the program is geared towards underserved communities, Hays says the tips and information are practical and can benefit anyone.

Smart Money, Bright Future is also underwritten in part by the Singleton Foundation which provided collateral materials from its Million Stories campaign.
