The report, published by mobile-first employee experience platform Blink, factored in employees' job and salary satisfaction, employee sentiments, passenger satisfaction and operational stress.
According to the report, John Wayne Airport is the #7 U.S. airport with the happiest workers.

The Orange County-based airport was the only California airport listed on the ranking.
The airport earned an overall score of 85.2 and matched the highest job satisfaction score at 115, according to the report.

Employees reported a high salary satisfaction score of 80 percent, while staff awarded the airport a stunning 4.4 out of 5 rating.
John Wayne Airport follows Salt Lake City International Airport in Salt Lake City and Honolulu International Airport in Hawaii.
