ORANGE COUNTY, CA — It takes a village to send this many kids, plus instruments and uniforms, to New York! The Trabuco Hills High School Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit is preparing to take that trip of a lifetime, to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

They have just over a year to fundraise, as they will appear in the 94th annual parade in 2020. Parent boosters are hard at work getting the fundraiser together to reduce the cost for all. Boosters expect the cost will amount to $2,000 per band-member.

"We want ever member with us when we get on that plane," Amy Vivona, a committee spokesperson told Patch. Online, supporters are asked to make a one time or even a monthly donation toward the cause.

The Trabuco Hills High School Marching Band has established themselves as one of the premiere units in the state of California, Wesley Whatley, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade creative producer said of the band.
