OC TO LA Police Pursuit Ends With Standoff, Arrest
A driver evaded Orange County Sheriff's Department officers, fleeing from Yorba Linda to Diamond Bar early Tuesday morning.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A driver led Orange County sheriff's deputies on a wild chase following an attempted traffic stop in Yorba Linda was arrested Tuesday after a standoff, authorities said.
Deputies attempted to pull the man over on a traffic violation, and for suspected DUI, just after 2:30 a.m., but he kept going, the department reported in a statement.
The cross-county chase ended in the city of Diamond Bar, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

"During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle intentionally collided with a patrol unit," the sheriff's department said. "Thankfully, the deputy was not injured."
The suspect stopped his vehicle near Diamond Bar Boulevard and Pathfinder Road. A standoff ensued for approximately three hours, ending when he exited the car of his own volition, "without the use of force," according to a department spokesperson.

According to the department, the suspect is being evaluated for any medical needs, and an investigation is ongoing.
His name was not immediately released.
