OC Man Charged With Trying To Lure 12-Year-Old Into Car

An Anaheim man was charged with attempting to lure a 12-year-old boy into his car, authorities said Friday.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — An Anaheim man was charged with attempting to lure a 12-year-old boy into his car, authorities said Friday.

German Reyes Ramos, 46, was charged with a felony count of contacting a minor with the intent to commit a specified offense. He did not enter a plea at his arraignment Thursday, which was rescheduled for March 8 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton.

Police were dispatched at about 9:30 a.m. Feb. 13 to the 2900 block of West Orange Street for a reported attempted kidnapping, authorities said.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, the suspect asked the boy if he wanted a ride while holding a bundle of money, police said. The boy refused and called 911.

Reyes Ramos was arrested Tuesday while driving a tan 2002 Dodge Durango, which police suspect was the same vehicle in the alleged attempted abduction, police said.
