OC Police Officer Had 'Inappropriate Interactions' With Underage Explorer: Police
The police officer was arrested on June 27 and was released a day after his arrest, reports said.
GARDEN GROVE, CA โ A Garden Grove police officer who had inappropriate interactions with an underage girl in the department's explorer program was arrested, police said this past week.
Officer Roberto Machuca was arrested on June 27 and relieved of his duties as a police officer and placed on administrative leave, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.
Jail records indicate Machuca was released the day after his arrest, ABC7 reported.

According to police, the minor was participating in the department's explorer program, which is for youth interested in pursuing careers in law enforcement.
"The safety and security of our youth volunteers remains a top priority," a GGPD spokesperson said in a statement.
