One Person Dead In Fiery Orange County Crash
It happened shortly before 5 a.m. at the intersection of Bake Parkway and Lake Forest Drive.

IRVINE, CA -- A person died Sunday in a fiery car crash in Irvine, authorities said. It happened shortly before 5 a.m. at the intersection of Bake Parkway and Lake Forest Drive, according to the Orange County Fire Authority and Irvine police.
Responding Irvine police officers found the car crashed into a traffic pole, engulfed in fire, police said. OCFA firefighters put out the flames and discovered the dead driver inside.
The gender and age of the driver was not immediately known. The name of the deceased would be withheld pending notification of kin.

The intersection where the crash took place was shut down for the death investigation.
