TUSTIN, CA — Parents accused of leaving their infants in a locked car in an Orange County shopping center parking lot were arrested Tuesday, The Orange County Register reported.

Tustin police officers were called to the parking lot of a Target in the 2300 block of Park Avenue in response to reports of two infants, roughly one-month-old twins — a boy and a girl — unattended in a car. They were unharmed.

The parents were arrested by officers on suspicion of child neglect. They were later released after officers notified child-protective services and it was found that there was no continued danger to the children.
