Pedestrian, 38, Killed In Santa Ana Crash: Police
The man was crossing Harbor Boulevard outside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a northbound vehicle Friday night, police said.
SANTA ANA, CA — A 38-year-old Santa Ana man was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night while crossing Harbor Boulevard outside a marked crosswalk, police said.
The Santa Ana Police Department received multiple calls about a pedestrian being struck near the 200 block of N. Harbor Blvd. at about 7:50 p.m. on Friday, according to a news release from police. Officers and Orange County Fire Authority firefighters responded and found the man lying in the roadway with significant injuries.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A preliminary investigation found that the pedestrian was crossing Harbor Boulevard outside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle traveling north, according to authorities. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police said the driver did not appear to be impaired. The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
