Pedestrian Killed In DUI Crash In Orange County

Fountain Valley police Wednesday were investigating a collision that killed a pedestrian.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Fountain Valley police Tuesday were investigating a collision that killed a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was struck by a vehicle about 7:30 p.m. Monday at Warner Avenue and Newhope Street, police said. Authorities were still working to identify the man's relatives before releasing his name.

The driver, whose name was also not released, was booked on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence, police said.
