Pedestrian Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In OC
The pedestrian was apparently walking to or from work when he was struck by a car that fled the scene in Santa Ana.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Authorities Monday were looking for a hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian Sunday night.
Police received several calls just after 10 p.m. Sunday about the crash at Warner Avenue and Brookhollow Drive. The pedestrian — later identified as 32-year-old Sergio Diaz of Santa Ana — was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Diaz was crosser Warner east of Brookhollow Drive when the eastbound driver struck him and fled the area, the Santa Ana Police Department said in a statement.

Diaz was either walking to or from work at the time, SAPD Officer Natalie Garcia said.
There were some witnesses to the collision so police have some leads, but investigators have not released any details on the make or model of the suspect car, Garcia said.
