Pedestrian Struck, Killed On 5 Freeway Friday Morning

ANAHEIM, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday in Anaheim.

Officers from the California Highway Patrol were called at 1:50 a.m. to the junction of the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway and the westbound 91 Freeway where they found the pedestrian on the freeway, said a CHP spokesman.

The pedestrian, whose name, age and gender were not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision closed all lanes of the southbound freeway for several hours.
