Man Falls From Overpass; 57 Freeway Shut Down: CHP

FULLERTON, CA โ€” A man is dead after he fell or jumped from a freeway overpass in Orange County, triggering traffic closures for the second day in a row in the area Friday.

The incident was reported just after 11 a.m. Friday on the Orange (57) Freeway at Yorba Linda Boulevard in Fullerton, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Upon arrival, a man's body was reported "down" on the southbound side of the Orange (57) Freeway, police said.

The incident prompted authorities to shut down at least three lanes of the southbound side of the freeway.
