Here are the top three stories in Orange County today:

  1. What happens when your caterer mixes up your order and you have no food for a senior citizen's Christmas party? If you're the Santa Ana Police Department, you order a lot of pizzas! Residents of St. Francis Home, a non-profit home by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of Mexico were treated to a pizza dinner, a visit from Santa Claus and holiday gifts. This was all at the annual dinner and gift-giving event hosted by the Santa Ana Police Department. (Orange County, CA Patch).
  2. Fire and a baby opossum were the talk of Disneyland this week. A small blaze broke out at Disneyland around 3:30 a.m. Thursday in a 12-by-12-foot building next to the New Orleans train station that is usually used as an employee break room, Walt Disney World News reported. No one was injured and Disneyland built white construction walls and a 20-foot-tall scrim to shield the fire-damaged building from visitors, while the Disneyland Railroad continued operation into Friday. However, riders of the Splash Mountain Water flume ride found it temporarily closed this week after a baby opossum was spotted on the tracks. (CA Orange County, CA Patch)
  3. A Knott's season pass is the best entertainment seal in Orange County. (sandytoesandpopsicles.com)
