Police Chase Kills 1 In Violent Crash

FULLERTON, CA — One person died in a violent crash at the end of a police pursuit of a theft suspect that started in Fullerton Wednesday, police said.

According to police, the incident began when a detective who witnessed a theft initiated a chase around 12:30 p.m., leading to a police pursuit that ended in La Palma, where a crash killed one person.

The crash was reported at La Palma Avenue and Moody Street, the Fullerton Police Department said.

Video from the scene showed three vehicles that appeared to have been extensively damaged.
