Possible DUI Crash Kills 62-Year-Old Woman In OC
The three-car crash hospitalized three people and killed one woman early Monday morning in Orange County, police say.
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A woman was killed and two people were hospitalized in a three-car crash that may have been fueled by drugs or alcohol in Orange County, authorities said Monday.
The crash was reported early Monday morning at around 12:11 a.m. in the area of Orangethorpe Avenue and Harbor Boulevard in the City of Fullerton, the Fullerton Police Department reported.
Upon arriving, police found a white BMW, black Chevrolet Silverado and a blue Toyota Rav 4 in the middle of the intersection with "significant damage," police said.

One woman, a 62-year-old resident of Anaheim who was sitting in the passenger's seat of the Rav 4, was found dead at the scene. Her name was not released.
According to a Fullerton Police Department news release, authorities currently believe that the BMW was driving southbound in the number one lane when it slammed the rear of the Toyota Rav 4, which was stopped at a red light. The BMW then hit the Chevrolet Silverado on the driver's side, which was also stopped at the same red light in the number two lane.

Two people involved in the crash were moved to local hospitals, including a 22-year-old resident of Anaheim and a 25-year-old resident of Anaheim. The driver of the Chevrolet, an 18-year-old resident of Fullerton, was treated and released on scene.
"The BMW driver's speed and the use of alcohol and/or drugs are all factors under investigation as possible contributors to the cause of the collision," the FPD said in a news release.
