Power Outage Leaves 13,000 Fullerton Residents In The Dark

An outage overnight left much of Fullerton without power until early Tuesday morning.

FULLERTON, CA — Over 13,000 Fullerton residents were without power overnight, according to Southern California Edison. Crews worked through Tuesday morning, and restored power to all but 87 customers, who remained offline as of 9:30 a.m.

The outage was reported just before 9 p.m. Monday, caused by a "problem at a substation near the intersection of South Harbor Boulevard and Walnut Avenue," according to SCE spokesman Paul Netter.

Crews worked to restore power as quickly as possible and had rerouted power to some customers, he said.
