Preston’s Steakhouse in Scottsdale Closes After 10 Years

After proudly serving the Scottsdale community for 10 years with its signature blend of elevated steakhouse dining and heartfelt hospitality, Preston’s Steakhouse will permanently closed on May 31, 2025, due to upcoming significant and long-term building repairs. Founded by third-generation restaurateur and chef Charles Schwerd, the restaurant has long been a beloved local institution, celebrated for its consistent excellence and refined yet welcoming ambiance.

“This is a painful goodbye,” said Schwerd. “Preston’s was built on tradition, passion and the desire to serve our community with sincerity and quality. I’m devastated for our community having been a part of so many meaningful moments over the years, and our loyal team members, who represent the very best in hospitality and culinary expertise. They are the heart of Preston’s, and I hope many will continue their journey with me at Arrowhead Grill in Glendale.”

While Schwerd bids farewell to Preston’s, he is pleased to announce plans for a new fine dining restaurant in Greater Phoenix within the next 18 months. “This new concept will carry forward the same commitment to quality, hospitality and innovation that has defined each of our restaurants. I look forward to sharing more details this summer.”
