Road Rager Opens Fire On Women After Rear-Ending Them In Orange County, Police Say
The 22-year-old man was charged Thursday with shooting at two women who followed him when he crashed into their car.
GARDEN GROVE, CA — A 22-year-old man was charged Thursday with shooting at two women who followed him when he crashed into their car in Garden Grove in a suspected road rage incident, police said.
Phillip Robert Villa was charged with two counts of attempted murder with sentencing enhancements for attempted premeditated murder and discharge of a gun, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.
Villa crashed into the car the women were in while at a parking lot at a park on Oct. 18, police said.

The women followed him to get his information to hand over to police, while Villa crashed his car and got out, police said.
Villa then opened fire on the women, firing off several shots at about 2:20 a.m. at Ninth Street and Lampson Avenue, authorities said.

The women were not injured.
