Body Found In Westminster Flood Channel

The body of an unidentified man was found in a flood control channel in Westminster as flash flood alerts go out across Orange County.

WESTMINSTER, CA — There were no signs of foul play when the body of a man was found in a rain-swollen flood control channel in Westminster Tuesday. This, as the National Weather Service alerted of a flash flood warning across Orange County.

Police are awaiting autopsy results to better determine what happened, according to Westminster police Cmdr. Cameron Knauerhaze.

"A witness spotted the body in the channel at Bolsa Chica and Rancho roads about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and called police," Knauerhaze said. "It looked like the body has been in the water for awhile."
