Coroner IDs Newport Beach Pedestrian Killed
The 87-year-old man was crossing street over weekend when hit by a vehicle, officials said.
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — An 87-year-old man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Newport Beach was identified Tuesday by the Orange County coroner's office.
George Stryker of Newport Beach was struck and killed about 6:15 p.m. Saturday while crossing a street. He died at the scene.
There's no word yet as to whether the driver was cited.
