Santa Ana Winter Village, Ice Skating In Full Holiday Swing

SANTA ANA, CA — Santa Ana officials have brought the joys of winter to our downtown. In a first for many area families, ice skating has been made readily available to residents.

The event opened on Dec. 9 and will remain open through January 2.

The family-friendly holiday attraction is right in the heart of Downtown Santa Ana, at Civic Center Plaza.

Test your skills at a world-class outdoor ice-skating rink and enjoy live entertainment, shopping, cuisine from local food trucks and much more.

Santa Ana's council members spoke on the momentous occasion of the first-ever ice rink in the city.

"This is a historic moment for us," says councilmember Josie Lopez. "I hope that you will join us and enjoy the ice rink. Never has something like this happened in the city of Santa Ana."

For many families, this was their first time out on the ice.

"This was the first time the Gomez family has come out to the civic center to skate," one family said.

There’s something for the whole family – parents and kids can ride a festive trackless train, read a story with Mrs. Claus, or simply enjoy a warm holiday treat under the magical lights of this holiday wonderland. Lucky guests may even catch a glimpse of Santa!
