Senior Scam Prevention Seminar Set for Oct. 28 at Florence Sylvester

Preventing fraud and protecting their personal information can be a challenge especially for older adults. To address the situation, a free senior scam prevention session will be held on Monday, Oct. 28 from 9 until 11 AM at the Florence Sylvester Senior Center.

Hosted by Assemblymember Diane Dixon of the 72nd Assembly District , the session will feature Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) specialist Sally Westlake. She will tell attendees how they can protect their finances from scams, which can be in person, on the computer, over the phone or even in texts. Attendees will learn how to stop scams before they start.
