Sex Offender Molested Orange County Girl, Police Say

A convicted sex offender was charged Thursday with molesting a girl younger than 14 in Anaheim.

ANAHEIM, CA — A convicted sex offender was charged Thursday with molesting a girl in Anaheim.

James Stacy Weatherford was charged with five felony counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14. The criminal complaint alleges the molestation occurred between January 2012 and August 2024.

Weatherford was convicted Oct. 30, 2003, with lewd acts with a minor younger than 14 in Riverside County Superior Court, according to the criminal complaint.

Weatherford did not enter a plea at his arraignment Thursday in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana. His arraignment was rescheduled for March 12 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton and he was ordered held without bail.
