Skateboard Wielding Suspect Sought In Santa Ana: Video

Police are seeking a man who disrupted a 7-Eleven convenience store this week, then fled on his skateboard.

SANTA ANA, CA —Police are seeking the public's help after a skateboard riding robber fled a Santa Ana convenience store this week. On Thursday, Santa Ana police shared a video of the robbery, which occurred just after 9 a.m. Monday, according to Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

A suspect entered the 7-Eleven convenience store at 2600 N. Bristol St., and "became aggressive" with a clerk when he did not have enough money to pay for what he wanted, according to Bertagna.

He struck the clerk with a shopping basket when he tried to grab the selected items, attacked the clerk and stole more things off the counter, including a tray of lottery tickets, police said.

The suspect was seen westbound on a skateboard on Memory Lane.
