Stolen Car Catches Fire On 405 Amid Drivetime Traffic

One of the two cars involved in a fiery crash on the southbound 405 was reported stolen, according to CHP.

WESTMINSTER, CA - A two-car collision on the southbound 405 resulted in one car bursting into flames Tuesday morning, officials say. One of the vehicles involved was reported stolen, according to California Highway Patrol.

As of this report, no one was reported injured in the crash.

A red Volkswagon Passat and Silver Honda collided just before 7:45 a.m., CHP officers reported. The Honda, disabled in the incident, caught fire shortly after the crash and was later reported as a stolen vehicle.

The crash was a "hit and run," CHP Officer Graham tells Patch.

No one remained at the scene and there were no arrests made in the incident.
