Teacher's Aide Arrested For Showing 'Lewd' Photo To Minors, Police Say

The teacher's aide was an employee at McFadden Intermediate School since May, according to the Santa Ana Department.

SANTA ANA, CA — A teacher's aide at McFadden Intermediate School was arrested on Tuesday after showing a lewd photo to three children while they were walking home from school, the Santa Ana Police Department said.

Marvis Elias, 21, was booked at Orange County Jail for child annoyance related charges and for depicting harmful matter to a minor, authorities said. He is currently being held on $20,000 bail.

The incident happened at around 3 p.m. Tuesday, when three young girls were walking home from school in the area of 1400 South Rene Drive in Santa Ana. According to police, Elias was sitting inside of his white Toyota Camry when he called out to the children.

When the girls approached his car, they told police that Elias showed them an explicit photograph on his cell phone.

"The victims immediately left the area and reported the incident to the police," a Santa Ana Police Department statement said. "Officers obtained information on the suspect's vehicle, which led to his arrest."

After an initial investigation, police officers found that Elias was a teacher's aide at McFadden Intermediate School since May 2022.
