Teen Shot, Killed Near Orange County Park Sunday

A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in the parking lot of an Anaheim park Sunday, according to authorities.

ANAHEIM, CA — A 16-year-old boy was killed after he was shot multiple times in Anaheim, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

Police were dispatched around 8:30 p.m. Sunday to the parking lot of John Marshall Park on West La Palma Avenue, east of the Interstate 5 Freeway. Authorities said the shooting occurred around 8 p.m.

Upon arrival, the teen found that the teen had been rushed to the Anaheim Regional Medical Center by friends, where he died from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, police said.
