Teens Arrested In String Of OC Convenience Store Robberies, Police Say

Three teens were arrested Monday after a rash of overnight convenience store robberies followed by a short pursuit that ended in Long Beach.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Three teens were in custody Monday after a string of overnight convenience store robberies followed by a short pursuit that ended in the Long Beach area.

According to authorities, the group is responsible for at least six convenience store robberies that started over a week ago. Two of the people involved in the group remain at large.

The teens were not identified by police due to their age.

The most recent robbery was at 1 a.m. at a Circle K at 3899 E. Riverdale Ave., McClintock said. The others were at a 7 Eleven at 775 N. East St. about 10 p.m. Sunday and a Shell Gas Station at 3080 E. La Palma Ave. about 10:21 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators suspect the robberies are connected to one in Fullerton and several others in Los Angeles County, McClintock said.

Fullerton police responded to a robbery at 10:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Orangethorpe Avenue, said Kristy Wells of the Fullerton Police Department. Five suspects jumped over the counter at a convenience store, grabbed cash registers and cigarettes before fleeing, Wells said.

Anyone with information helpful to investigators was asked to call Anaheim police at 714-765-1900 or alert Orange County Crime Stoppers, which will accept anonymous tips, at 855-TIP-OCCS.
